AMMAN — The Southern Military Zone, in coordination with military security agencies, on Friday foiled an attempt to infiltrate its western front using a drone.

According to a source from the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army (JAF), Border Guard personnel spotted the drone and monitored its route before applying engagement protocols and bringing it down inside Jordanian territory.

The drone was then handed over to the relevant authorities for further investigation and necessary action, the source added.

The source reiterated that the JAF remains fully alert and committed to safeguarding the Kingdom’s security, and will act decisively against any attempts to undermine its stability.
