AMMAN — Air defence systems on Monday night intercepted and downed three missiles coming from Iranian territory that targeted the Kingdom, a military source at the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said.
In a JAF statement, the source said that the interception operations resulted in no casualties or material damage, adding that Royal Engineering Corps teams secured the sites and dealt with the falling debris in accordance with established technical and security procedures.
The source reiterated that the armed forces continue to monitor the Kingdom's airspace and maintain high operational readiness, stressing that the JAF will deal firmly with any threat to the Kingdom's security, sovereignty or citizen safety, under the established rules of engagement.
The source called on citizens to obtain information exclusively from official sources and refrain from circulating rumours or unverified news.
