Army follows up on reports of discovery of ‘Jordanian soldier’s remains’ in Jerusalem

AMMAN — A military source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) on Wednesday said that the armed forces, in coordination with the Foreign Ministry, has been following up on news claiming the existence of corpses belonging to 15 Jordanians who died in Beit Hanina in Jerusalem during the 1967 war, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
A military team was sent Wednesday, in coordination with the concerned authorities, to conduct necessary tests and disclose the identity of the dead. The source added that technical and medical factors might hinder the revealing of their identity, adding that lab results will be announced consequently.
