Army downed one missile, two drones launched from Iran towards Jordan – JAF

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Sunday that Iran had fired one missile and two drones towards the Kingdom over the past 24 hours.

JAF Media Directorate said that the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) has intercepted the missile and the two drones.

The Public Security Directorate (PSD) said that its units had handled 26 reports over the past 24 hours involving falling shrapnel and projectiles.

The directorate said that no injuries were reported as a result of the incidents, except for minor material damage was reported to three vehicles.

It also reiterated warnings to the public against approaching or handling suspicious objects or debris, citing potential safety risks.

While urging citizens to follow official instructions and guidance issued through authorised channels, PSD also called on the public to report any suspicious items to security services via the emergency number 911.

JAF has recently said that Iran has targeted the Kingdom with a total of 262 missiles and drones since the outbreak of the war on February 28.

Of these rockets and drones, RJAF has intercepted and destroyed 242, while 20 projectiles have fallen inside the Kingdom.
