Army chief visits Sixth Mechanised Royal Guard Battalion

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Thursday visited the Sixth Mechanised Royal Guard Battalion, one of the units of the Eastern Military Zone.

This visit reflects the General Command's commitment to assessing the readiness of various formations and units within the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. During his visit, Huneiti was briefed on the battalion's assigned tasks, operational activities, training programmes, logistical operations and future plans.

The army chief took the opportunity to meet with the battalion's personnel, conveying the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the JAF.

He commended the personnel’s exemplary morale and reaffirmed the General Command’s commitment to providing the Border Guard Force with the necessary support to effectively counter any border threats and fulfill their duties and responsibilities.
