Army chief visits Eastern Military Region Command

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday visited the Eastern Military Region Command. During the visit, Huneiti received a comprehensive military briefing on the command's mission, operational readiness and future plans. He praised the dedication of the command's personnel in protecting national interests and maintaining border security. The army chief also visited the Princess Basma 3rd Mechanised Battalion "Um Al Nashama".

He conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, to the unit's personnel and praised their professionalism and high morale. The visit included the observation of military exercises, which include logistical loading and riot control demonstrations and showcasing the physical fitness of the personnel, the Jordan and News Agency, Petra, reported.
