AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday met with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Armed Forces General Dan Caine to discuss ongoing military cooperation between Jordan and the US.
The discussions focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in operational, training and logistical fields to advance the strategic interests of both armed forces, according to a Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) statement.
During the meeting, Huneiti underscored the deep-rooted and longstanding partnership between the two militaries. He also commended the high level of joint coordination and the continued support provided by the US, which enables the JAF to effectively carry out its duties amid regional and international challenges.
Caine commended the JAF’s vital role in promoting security and stability throughout the region, the statement said.
