AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Sunday met with Commander of US Army Central Lt. Gen. Kevin Leahy and an accompanying delegation to discuss military relations and issues of mutual interest.
During the meeting, held at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) General Command, the two sides reviewed military cooperation and coordination and discussed ways to further strengthen their strategic partnership in support of regional security and stability.
Huneiti stressed the depth of relations between the Jordanian and US armed forces and commended the ongoing cooperation across various military fields, according to a JAF statement.
Leahy commended the JAF for its role in promoting regional and international security and stability.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army officers and the US defence attaché in Amman.
