Army chief, UAE counterpart talk military cooperation

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Wednesday met with the Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Lt. Gen. Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, and accompanying delegation.

The two sides discussed means to bolster bilateral ties that serve the best interests of both countries’ armed forces, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Also on Wednesday, the two sides attended a military drill conducted by the Special Royal Guard Command at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre, Petra added.
