Army chief meets with US general

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Wednesday received Lt. Gen. Thomas Bergeson, deputy commander of the United States Central Command, and an accompanying delegation over the latest regional and international developments.

During the meeting, Freihat and Bergeson discussed military cooperation and coordination between the two countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The US military attaché to Jordan and a number of high-ranking officers from both countries' armies attended the meeting.
