Army chief meets with UAE delegation, Pakistan envoy

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Tuesday met with an Emirati military delegation, headed by the director of training in the UAE army, Brig. Gen. Hassan Hammadi.

The two sides discussed means of cooperation and coordination in issues that concern both countries’ armed forces. Freihat and the delegates also discussed the latest regional and international developments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Also on Tuesday, Freihat and Pakistani Ambassador to Jordan Junaid Rehmat reviewed means to enhance cooperation between Jordan and Pakistan in a way that best serves the interests of the armed forces of both countries, Petra added.
