AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti on Wednesday inaugurated the second Scientific Conference of the Royal Maintenance Corps, titled “Technical Education in Jordan Towards a Strategic National Educational Integration,” hosted by Prince Hussein Bin Abdullah Military Technical College over two days.
Speakers highlighted the role of technical education in enhancing military and civilian capabilities, adapting to regional and global challenges, and equipping students with skills in innovation, adaptability, and multilingual communication, according to the Jordan Armed Forces -Arab Army (JAF).
Officials from the University of Jordan, Al Balqa Applied University, and Al Hussein Technical University underlined the importance of applied education, the integration of higher education with military sectors, and the alignment of technical training with national development and workforce needs.
Huneiti toured the college’s laboratories and exhibition, inspecting educational projects, electronic equipment, precision machinery, and field-ready weapons.
The conference, attended by senior military officers and security officials, serves as a platform to share expertise and advance continuous technical education for armed forces engineers and technicians.
