‘Army chief heads to US for Pentagon meeting’

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Maj. Gen. Mahmoud Freihat on Thursday departed for the US to participate in a meeting of army chiefs in the coalition against Daesh.
Freihat was invited by US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Joseph Dunford, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
On the sidelines of the event, to be held at the Pentagon, Freihat is scheduled to meet with his counterparts and US senior military officials, Petra reported.
