Army chief attends military drill

AMMAN — Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Tuesday attended a tactical drill carried out by the Mechanised Hashemite Brigade/51 of the Central Military Zone.

Huneiti listened to a briefing presented by the commander of the Central Military Zone about the drill, which included scenarios simulating possible threats to train commanders from various units on plans and mechanisms to counter them, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

At the end of the exercise, the army chief met with personnel of the brigade and conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army.
