Army Arabisation a source of pride — House speaker

AMMAN — The anniversary of the Arabisation of the Jordan Armed Forces - Arab army (JAF) is a source of pride, Lower House Speaker Ahmad Safadi said on Wednesday.

Speaking during a parliamentary session, Safadi said that the decision to Arabise the leadership of the army marked an important shift in the national political and military spheres, noting that the 67th anniversary of the “brave and historic” decision made by the late King Hussein to Arabise the leadership of the army “carries pride, honour and glory in the hearts”, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
