Armed Forces foil smuggling attempt from Syria

AMMAN — The Eastern Military Zone on Tuesday foiled an attempt to smuggle in narcotics from Syrian territory to Jordan, the News Agency, Petra, reported.

A source at the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said that the rules of engagement were applied leading to the seizure of great amounts of narcotics. The JAF will "firmly deal" with any infiltration or smuggling attempt to protect the Kingdom's borders and its national security, the source stressed.
