Arabiyat sworn in as president of Higher Sharia Court

AMMAN — Issam Arabiyat was sworn in before His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday after a Royal Decree was issued appointing him as president of the Higher Sharia Court as of August 16.

Royal Court Chief Fayez Tarawneh and Chief Islamic Justice Ahmad Hilayel also attended the ceremony.
