Arab women’s political skills programme launches in Amman

AMMAN — An Arab Women Organisation’s (AWO) training programme, on leadership and political participation, commenced on Monday with the participation of Arab women leaders, in Amman.
The programme, implemented in cooperation with UN Women, aims at developing Arab women’s skills facilitating women’s political participation and enhancing their presence in decision-making processes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Deputising for HRH Princess Basma, Jordan’s member at the AWO’s higher council, Lana Mamkegh, member of the AWO executive council, highlighted the importance of preparing Arab women leaders to effectively participate in the political sphere.
