Aqaba’s 5-star hotels saw 90% occupancy rate this weekend

AMMAN — Hotel occupancy rates in the Kingdom this weekend reached 86 per cent in Aqaba, 66 per cent in the Dead Sea, 58 per cent in Amman and 28 per cent in Petra.
Vice-President of the Jordan Hotels Association (JHA) Hussein Halalat on Thursday said that the reservation rate at five-star hotels reached 90 per cent in Aqaba, 80 per cent in the Dead Sea, 65 per cent in Amman and 48 per cent in Petra. According to Halalat, occupancy rates in Aqaba’s four-star hotels reached 58 per cent while three-star hotels reached 57 per cent.
The Dead Sea’s four-star hotels reached 52 per cent, Amman’s four-star hotels reached 60 per cent and Petra’s four-star hotels reached 21 per cent occupancy. Amman’s three-star hotels reached 50 per cent occupancy, while Petra’s three-star hotels saw an occupancy rate of 16 per cent.
