AMMAN — The Aqaba Port Marine Services Company (APMSCO) and the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) have signed a financing agreement to set up a chemotherapy room at the King Hussein Cancer Centre (KHCC) in Aqaba. This initiative is part of the centre's "Naming" programme, which names wards and patient rooms after donors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday. The deal was signed by APMSCO General Manager Dirk Wijnen and KHCF Director General Nisreen Qatamesh. Under the agreement, the company is scheduled to fund the room's construction at the KHCC branch that is to be opened in Aqaba. This centre is set to provide cancer patients with medical support in the southern region and is anticipated to become operational in the last quarter of 2024.
