Aqaba organises beach cleaning campaign

AMMAN — Aqaba Governorate, in partnership with the Aqaba Police Department,  and the Community, Environmental and Tourism Police in Aqaba, in cooperation with the Ayla Oasis Development Company, organised a beach cleaning  campaign.

The campaign aimed to support the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority’s efforts, as well as highlight the importance of preserving marine and environmental life and raise community awareness, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

Besides collecting waste from the beach, the campaign included the distribution of awareness leaflets and waste bags.
