AMMAN — Employers and guest workers are visiting labour directorates around the Kingdom to benefit from the grace period set by the Labour Ministry to renew foreign labourers’ work permits, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The deadline, April 15, was set to implement the Cabinet’s decision to regulate and document employment violations. The ministry said that inspection campaigns on institutions and companies have led to detecting 3,400 illegal guest workers since the start of 2017.
