Anti-graft body received 1,808 complaints in 2013

AMMAN — Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour on Sunday received a copy of the Anti-Corruption Commission’s (ACC) report for 2013 from ACC President Samih Bino.

According to the report, the ACC dealt with 1,808 corruption complaints in 2013.

The information and investigation department dealt with 230 cases, 74 of which were referred to the ACC prosecutor general, with 50 per cent of them related to the private sector.

Ensour stressed the government’s support to ACC in fighting corruption.
