AND detects 124 cases of drug trafficking within span of a week

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department detected 124 cases of drug trafficking and promotion involving 202 people during this week.
The department seized 47kg hashish, 323,000 narcotic pills, 4kg of crystal meth, an amount of marijuana seedlings and 2kg of industrial cannabis, in addition to a set of firearms.
The Public Security Directorate media spokesperson said that the AND continues to track all forms of trafficking, promoting and smuggling narcotic substances in all regions in the Kingdom. 
The spokesperson confirmed that during this week, extending from October 20-26, 124 cases of trafficking and promotion of narcotic substances were dealt with, during which 202 persons were arrested and referred to the State Security Court.
The PSD called on the public to cooperate with the AND, and report any criminal activity related to drug trafficking and promotion.
