AMMAN — Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel handled 11 instances of drug crime in Ramtha, Amman, Mafraq, Northern Badia over the past several days, leading to the arrest of 22 suspected drug dealers and traffickers and the seizure of drugs and several firearms.
Among these operations was a case at the Omari border crossing, where a truck arriving from a neighbouring country was intercepted. Following a thorough inspection, the authorities discovered 150,000 hidden narcotic pills concealed in hidden compartments in the body of the vehicle, the Public Security Department's spokesperson said on Thursday, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
