Amman sees highest electricity surge this summer

AMMAN — The highest electricity load of 2,845 megawatts was recorded on Sunday, FarouqHiyari, chief commissioner of the Energy and Mineral Resources Regulatory Commission, said on Monday.
During a field visit to the monitoring and control centre at the National Electric Power Company (NEPCO), Hiyari said managing the highest load recorded this summer is a testament to NEPCO’s efficiency.
