Amman mayor commends performance of gendarmerie

AMMAN — Amman Mayor Aqel Biltaji and Gendarmerie Department Director Maj. Gen. Hussien Hawatmeh on Thursday discussed ways to improve services in the capital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Biltaji commended the gendarmerie’s role in maintaining security at Amman’s various events such the recent FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup. Hawatmeh stressed the preparedness of the gendarmerie to ensure the security of any event in Amman.
