Al Rai journalist wins first place in Culture Ministry contest

AMMAN — Al Rai journalist Ahmed Tarawneh won the first place in the Culture Ministry’s competition "Diaries in the time of coronavirus".

The competition was launched in May in cooperation with the Crown Prince Foundation.

During a press conference to announce the winners, Minister of Culture Basim Tweissi said that the competition was conducted amid exceptional circumstances to contribute to the fight against the pandemic and “to record this period in our national history”.

The competition aimed “to offer a cultural content that records individual and group experiences” during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to share the content with researchers and those interested. Competition entries are available on the ministry’s platform: kolmorsayamor.gov.jo.
