The university, established in 2016, is one of the initiatives of the Crown Prince Foundation to support Jordanian youth’s pursuit of vocational, technical and applied education, according to the foundation’s website.
Oakden had a firsthand look at HTU programme and its new educational approach, expressing his admiration of the university’s programmes whose outcomes match labour market needs.
The ambassador’s tour included the university’s Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurial Excellence, which was opened early in the year and incubates some 15 start-ups in the fields of technological engineering, renewable energy and transport applications.
