AMMAN — The AeroSquad Club at Al Hussein Technical University (HTU), an initiative by the Crown Prince Foundation supported by the Boeing Company, on Sunday organised its first aviation event.
The event, titled: "UAVs Industrial and Academic Development in Jordan" and held on the HTU campus in Amman, featured an overview of the club and its activities, a panel discussion on the latest developments in aviation sciences and UAV technologies, and project displays by students of the AeroSquad Club, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In his welcome address, HTU President Ismail Hinti praised Boeing for its support. The event was held to attract those interested in the field and encourage participation in aviation activities by providing the appropriate environment and opportunities to experience flying UAVs remotely.
The HTU was established in 2016 as an initiative by the Crown Prince Foundation to award bachelor’s degrees and intermediate university degrees in the subjects of engineering and computer science.
