Al Balta army battalion conducts nighttime drill

AMMAN — Assistant Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for Operations and Training Brig. Gen. Abdullah Shdeifat, on Wednesday attended the "Al Bawasil" nighttime military drill conducted by the 2nd Mechanised Royal Guard Battalion (Al Balta) of the Central Military Region.
The aim of the exercise, which was conducted in the battalion’s designated training field, was to train personnel on combat operations in urban areas and how to use multiple types of weapons to complete the required mission.
The exercise, attended by several senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces-Arab Army, is part of a series of annual training programmes conducted to ensure the highest levels of operational readiness and combat efficiency among army personnel, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
