AMMAN — Air traffic through Jordanian airspace is operating normally and according to scheduled flight plans, according to Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) Chief Commissioner Daifallah Farajat.
Farajat was quoted in the Jordan News Agency, Petra, as saying that the commission’s radar centre handled 176 aircraft transiting Jordanian airspace over a six-hour period between 8am and 2pm, “reflecting the smooth flow of operations and the effectiveness of the measures in place.”
He added that CARC is closely monitoring developments across the region while maintaining a high level of operational readiness.
“The commission is working in close coordination with relevant authorities to ensure the continued safety and security of civil aviation in Jordanian airspace,” he said.
