Air defences shoot down seven Iranian missiles, six drones — JAF

AMMAN — The Jordan Armed Forces - Arab Army (JAF) said on Friday that the air defence systems and Royal Jordanian Air Force jets intercepted and shot down seven Iranian missiles and six drones that were launched towards Jordanian territory.

A source from JAF General Command said in a statement that the interception operation caused no casualties or property damage.

The source added that Engineering Corps teams were deployed to the sites where debris landed and secured the areas, handling the remnants in accordance with established rules and procedures.

The statement said that JAF continues to monitor Jordan's airspace and remains at the highest level of operational readiness to respond to any threats to the Kingdom's security and the safety of its citizens.
