AI conference advocates for integrated strategy on water, energy, food

AMMAN — HRH Prince Hassan, chairman of the Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST), on Tuesday attended  the closing session of the "Artificial Intelligence: The Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem Nexus.” 

The event featured the presence of HRH Princess Sumaya bint Hassan, Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan, and a number of officials, experts, and academics, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra. 

In his remarks, Prince Hassan stressed the need for a national strategy that integrates water, energy, food, and ecosystems into a unified framework.

He also attached importance to focusing on the needs of the population using a multidimensional deprivation index, and called for a modern governance system that prioritises partnerships and cultural cooperation.

Prince Hassan also highlighted the value of creating a multidisciplinary database to support cooperation, integration and stability, noting that artificial intelligence can be a powerful tool to enhance human dignity.

Organised by the HCST with support from the German International Cooperation (GIZ), the conference was funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
