AMMAN — The Department of Antiquities (DoA) and the American Centre of Research (ACOR) have signed an agreement to combat illegal trafficking of cultural property.
The agreement aims to activate the DoA’s anti-trafficking division and develop the appropriate tools to hold training courses in combating illegal trafficking of cultural property, in addition to supporting the DoA’s efforts in identifying confiscated antiquities in the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported, citing a DoA statement issued on Wednesday.
The agreement was signed by DoA Director General Fadi Balawi and ACOR Executive Director Pearce Paul Creasman.
