Activities of Amman as Islamic culture capital to start in April

AMMAN — The higher ministerial committee for the activities of Amman as the capital of Islamic culture for 2107 on Thursday decided to launch the activities in April, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Amman was selected to succeed Kuwait in appreciation of its deep-rooted history and civilisation over the centuries since the rise of Islam, Culture Minister Nabih Shuqum said.
