AMMAN — Activists held a march in downtown Amman on Friday against a deal to import gas from Israel.
The National Electric Power company has signed a 15-year agreement with Noble Energy, a Houston-based company that holds the largest share in the Israeli Leviathan gas field, to receive natural gas supplies at the cost of $10 billion.
Protesters held placards that called for suing the government to protest the deal, while others described the deal with Israel as a form of occupation.
