AMMAN — The Amman Chamber of Commerce (ACC) and the Baghdad Chamber of Commerce (BCC) signed a memorandum of understanding to foster Jordanian-Iraqi cooperation in trade, the economy and investment.
Signed by the president of the ACC, Khalil Hajj Tawfiq, and the head of the BCC Firas Al Hamdani, during a visit by a Jordanian private sector delegation to Baghdad, the memo seeks to establish effective channels of communication between both chambers to promote trade and investment exchange, as well as encouraging joint projects.
It also emphasises the exchange of information on investment laws and systems, as well as available incentives for both chambers’ members.
It also encourages members of both chambers and business owners to participate in specialised international exhibitions held in the two countries, and share publications, statistics and available economic data to the chambers to promote awareness of economic development in Jordan and Iraq as well as available business and investment opportunities, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
