8,000 new families benefit from Unified Cash Support Programme — NAF

AMMAN — Director General of the National Aid Fund (NAF) Khitam Shneikat reviewed the outcomes of the Unified Cash Support Programme for the first half of 2023, highlighting that 8,000 new families benefited from it. 

Shneikat noted that the fund had adopted an economic empowerment policy for families. 

The number of beneficiaries for training programmes has  reached 648, and 703 for employment programmes. She also said that the NAF has expanded the number of "Makani" centre beneficiaries, reaching a total of 31608 individuals. 

Shneikat stressed that the NAF is continuously working on developing social protection systems in line with the Social Protection Strategy 2019-2025.

Currently, the Unified Cash Support Programme covers a total of 120,000 families, bringing the overall beneficiaries of the fund's programmes to reach 220,000 families, with an annual budget of JD240 million.
