AMMAN — Minister of Health Saad Jaber said that no new coronavirus cases were recorded in the Kingdom on Sunday, while one Arab truck driver tested positive for COVID-19 at the Jaber border crossing.

Jaber noted that the driver was not allowed to enter the Kingdom.

As of Sunday, the Kingdom’s total caseload reached 461, with 64 patients still receiving treatment at hospitals.

Speaking during a press briefing at the National Centre for Security and Crisis Management, Jaber added that no new COVID-19 recoveries or deaths were recorded in Jordan.

A total of 84,593 coronavirus tests have been conducted in the Kingdom since the beginning of the crisis, he noted.

He pointed to the availability of four million face masks at the civil and military consumer corporations, highlighting that factories will start pumping hundreds of thousands of masks into the Jordanian market.

"If we neglect preventive measures, the difficult and deadly disease will return," Jaber warned.

He added: “It is our responsibility to preserve our health and our economy.”
