AMMAN —The Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature has released 600 partridges across various locations around the Kingdom, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.
The birds were released with the aim of encouraging the species’ reproduction and the spreading in its natural habitat. The birds were given by the Bergesh Reserve, which specialises in breeding wild birds.
The partridges were released at the Dibeen Forest in the northern Governorate of Ajloun, with the participation of 100 licensed hunters in order to enhance hunters’ sense of responsibility towards the breed’s sustainability.
