AMMAN — Secretary General of the Higher Council for Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) Muhanad Al Azzeh on Friday said that the council formed six teams to work on enforcing the new law on the rights of people with disabilities.
Azzeh said a team will be allocated to the registration of identification cards for people with disabilities, which will be considered as a permit for obtaining different services without having to provide a new medical report for each demand, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Azzeh added that the Ministry of Social Development is considered as one of the HCD’s most important partner in guaranteeing independent living, protection from violence, and better livelihoods for people with disabilities and their families, Azzeh said.
