5 million citizens set to receive bread subsidy in 2020 — NAF

AMMAN — A total of 5 million to 5.4 million citizens will benefit from the bread subsidy in 2020, National Aid Fund (NAF) Director General Omar Mashagbeh said on Tuesday.

During a press conference, Mashagbeh said that the NAF will receive applications for 21 days between March 15 and April 4, noting that public employees will also have to apply through the official website https://reg.takmeely.jo/.

He said that the government will disburse the subsidy amounts between April 25 and November 30, adding that beneficiaries will receive an SMS one week before the disbursal.

Mashagbeh also highlighted the importance of providing a bank account when applying, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
