394 fines issued to traders across Jordan in first week of Ramadan

AMMAN — The Ministry of Industry, Trade and Supply has issued 394 fines during the first week of Ramadan across the Kingdom, Ministry Spokesperson Yanal Barmawi said Thursday. He said that Amman had the highest violations (172), followed by Irbid (53) and Zarqa (43).
Barmawi said 327 fines were for not announcing prices, 35 for selling higher than the announced or official price, while 32 were related to discounts. The ministry receives any relevant complaints on the phone number: 06-5661176, in addition to its website (www.mit.gov.jo) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/mit.gov.jo).
