AMMAN — Border Guards received 314 Syrian refugees during the previous 24 hours, the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) announced on Thursday.
The troops transferred the refugees to shelters and camps, and Royal Medical Services cadres treated the injured, according to a JAF statement. By the end of 2015, army medics had treated 3,491 injured refugees, according to official figures.
The army has spent more than JD1 billion in refugee-related expenditures since the Syrian crisis started some five years ago.
