AMMAN — Thirty-one imams and preachers working at the Awqaf Ministry and Iftaa departments in the army and security agencies have benefitted from His Majesty King Abdullah’s makruma (benefaction) to help clerics intending to get married. Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi, head of the follow-up committee for the implementation of Royal initiatives, delivered the aid to this year’s beneficiaries during a ceremony held at King Hussein Bin Talal Mosque. A total of 587 imams and preachers have benefitted so far from the Royal initiative, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.
