AMMAN — Border Guards received 296 Syrian refugees during the previous 24 hours, an army official said Tuesday.
The refugees were sent to shelters and camps set up to receive them. Royal Medical Services cadres treated the injured, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
By the end of 2015, army medics had treated 3,491 injured refugees, according to official figures. The army has spent more than JD1 billion in refugee-related expenditures since the Syrian crisis started some five years ago.
