27,600 students to be accepted at public universities

AMMAN — The Higher Education Council on Thursday decided to accept 27,600 of the students who applied to public universities for the 2014-2015 academic year under the unified admission list.
The figure does not include students who applied to the German-Jordanian University which has a separate application process.
Also on Thursday, the Higher Education Council approved the resignation of Mohammad Amin Awad from his post as president of Philadelphia University.

The Higher Education Council on Tuesday decided to accept 14,009 of the students who applied to public universities for the 2014-2015 spring semester under the unified admission list.
A total of 24,451 students were accepted at public universities for the 2014-15 academic year, Higher Education Minister Amin Mahmoud said on Tuesday.
The Unified Admission Committee website on Sunday posted the names of students accepted at public universities for the 2014-2015 spring semester.
