200,000 narcotic pills found near northern border

AMMAN — Border Guards and Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) personnel have conducted a joint operation and confiscated 200,000 narcotic pills found hidden near the northern borderline, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Wednesday.
AND received a tip-off about a group of individuals who were planning to hide large amounts of narcotic pills near the northern border, Petra reported. AND personnel, in coordination with the border troops, scanned the area and found the 200,000 pills, which were sent to the concerned authorities. An investigation is under way to find the suspects.
