2 farmers detained for alleged insecticide spraying near school in Northern Jordan Valley

AMMAN — Two non-Jordanian farmers have been ordered detained for a week by the Attorney General of the Northern Jordan Valley after allegations of spraying insecticide on land adjoining the Kraymeh Al Shamilah Girls School, resulting in insecticide poisoning of several students.
The students received immediate medical attention at the emergency room of Abu Ubaida Hospital.
The case is still under investigation.
The Civil Defence Department's personnel in the Northern Jordan Valley provided assistance to dozens of female students at Kraymeh School, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
